Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt spends almost four weeks after pneumonia in the hospital. The doctors actually want to continue their treatment. But the 81 -year -old apparently believes to know what is best for him – and leaves the clinic on his own.
Frédéric Prince of Anhalt obviously has no desire for the hospital anymore. As the “Bild” newspaper reports, the 81-year-old has released himself from the Cologne clinic in which he had been treated in the past few weeks.
From Anhalt thus ignores the express advice of his treating doctors, it is said. The doctors should have kept him in the hospital even longer and wanted to continue treating in hospital because of severe pneumonia. However, Anhalt decided to stop the stay in the clinic after 25 days and signed to do so at his own responsibility.
In January, Prince von Anhalt even spent a few days in the intensive care unit before he could be moved to a normal station. His severe pneumonia also resulted in kidney failure and heart failure, he revealed to the “Bild” newspaper. He was so desperate that he had already given up in the meantime: “I didn't want any more and thought that I had to go now and soon be with my wife ZSA ZSA Gabor.” The doctors would then have saved his life.
From the clinic to the grave
The widower of the Hollywood Diva ZSA Gabor, who died in 2016, now wants to recover from pneumonia outside of a hospital. His goal was to visit her grave in Budapest in Hungarian on Thursday on Thursday: “Since she was lying there, I have brought her yellow roses to her grave every year. That was her favorite flowers. I would not forgive myself to break this tradition from weakness.”
A driver brought him to Munich, from where he was traveling to Budapest by plane on Wednesday, according to Anhalt. His doctor told him that he should not fall into “grandpa mentality” and only sit in the rocking chair: “I have to stay in motion and continue my life as before so that I will get going again.”
After his Hungary trip, Prince wants to fly to Thailand from Anhalt to enjoy the warm climate and soothing massages. However, the doctors would have banned long-haul flights, which is why he was still considering going to a rehabilitation facility in Germany.
