After two operations, Katy Karrenbauer is on the road to recovery and then this happens: A few days after being discharged from the hospital, the actress needs medical help again. She rushes to the clinic with “incredible” pain. She has to stay there for the time being.
Concern for Katy Karrenbauer: After a mild stroke and two operations on her carotid artery, the actress reported back from the hospital a few days after being discharged. “Yes, it's true, I was discharged on Friday because there was nothing more to do from a vascular point of view,” she explains in a video on Instagram. She is very happy with her wound, “everything is healing really well,” Karrenbauer continues. Next week she will have the stitches removed.
After leaving the clinic, she switched back to her “little mode”, went shopping and cooked something. After a visit to the pharmacy, her cheeks suddenly turned red and she measured her blood pressure and took her medication. But her blood pressure did not go down. “When I had 220 to 120 – normal blood pressure is between 120 and 140 – and my heart was hurting in the middle of my chest, I thought my heart was going to jump out. It felt like a heart attack and I thought, I hope I don't have one now,” Karrenbauer says.
Stop smoking thanks to hypnosis
After a taxi ride during which she felt terrible back pain coming from her heart, she was immediately treated by a cardiologist in hospital. However, Karrenbauer gave the all-clear and explained that it was not a heart attack. Instead, it was a “blood pressure derailment”. She will now stay in hospital for a few more days for observation so that her blood pressure can be properly regulated and “it no longer goes through the roof” when she is stressed.
A new development in her life could also help her with her recovery: Karrenbauer tells her fans in the clip that she hasn't smoked for twelve days. Hypnosis helped her, although she was initially skeptical about it. But: “I can't tell you how it works, but it worked for me. I'm convinced.”
