Like every year, King Charles III invites you. at his country estate in Sandringham for Christmas. His niece, Princess Beatrice, wasn't supposed to be there. But now the princess has changed her mind – with good reason.
The niece of the British King Charles III, Princess Beatrice, will now spend Christmas with the royals at the royal country estate Sandringham. This was reported by the British news agency PA, citing unnamed insider sources.
It had previously been said that Beatrice, like her sister Princess Eugenie, would spend Christmas with her in-laws. She wanted to travel abroad to do this. But according to the report, doctors recommended that the pregnant woman not go on a long journey. It is not known where the celebration was to take place.
Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi already have a three-year-old daughter. He also has an eight-year-old son from a previous relationship. The couple's second child is due to be born in the spring.
According to PA, 45 people are expected at the royal Christmas party at the extensive country estate in the eastern English county of Norfolk. In addition to the royal couple, heir to the throne Prince William and his wife Princess Kate and their children are also expected.
Tradition of German ancestors
However, Beatrice and Eugenie's father, Prince Andrew, will not be there. The reason for this is that he recently found himself in negative headlines again because of his closeness to a suspected Chinese spy. Because of his involvement in the abuse scandal surrounding US multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019, Andrew has had to largely withdraw from public life.
The Royal Family always goes to church in Sandringham on Christmas Day. Unlike most British families, the royals give presents on Christmas Eve – a tradition they owe to their German ancestors.
