Farmer Heiner is fit again, his favorite cow “Crazy” treats himself to a first petting session and in beautiful Lower Franconia the tuba and trumpets are making a lot of noise: at the start of the farm week, everyone present is putting in a lot of effort.

After the first half of the barn festival getting to know each other, one question stands above all: How is farmer Heiner? The 70-year-old from the Palatinate couldn't cope with all the hustle and bustle and ended up in the neighboring hospital for a complete check-up. But Inka Bause has good news: “Heiner is feeling better again, he'll be joining you soon,” announces the chief matchmaker, while the three ladies Ulrike, Petra and Heike clap their hands enthusiastically.

Two hours later, horse lover Ulrike is still in a good mood. The blonde candidate was chosen by Heiner for the upcoming court week adventure. Before the barn festival really gets going, other farmers also have to make their final decisions. Camel breeder Marvin shows his colors and hugs the two women Sabrina and Eva. Heino from Lower Saxony also finally comes out of the Quark and points a shaky finger at animal undertaker Markus.

Now the obligatory barn festival barrel can finally be tapped. Inka taps it hard and the barley juice flows freely. After lots of beer, even more wine and light, easy-going hits, farm week is already upon us for some farmers. This time too, the farmers have put a lot of effort into impressing the expectant dream princesses and princes as soon as they pick them up at the train station.

Poultry farmer Andreas has organized a lovingly decorated covered wagon especially for his Lisa-Marie. The 31-year-old bank employee is blown away. But Lisa-Marie is even more happy about a cool blonde: “Great, I still have the whole fridge full of them at home!” reveals Andreas. After a warm parental greeting and a few delicious slices, Lisa-Marie blinks contentedly into the camera: “It's nice that I can be here!” grins the lady in waiting.

Elsewhere, too, you open your eyes with excitement at the beginning. Dairy farmer Manfred from Upper Bavaria welcomes his lady-in-waiting Susanne behind the wheel of a speedy vintage convertible: “I felt like James Bond with his Bond girl,” laughs the farmer after arriving at the farm. Manfred's favorite cow “Crazy” is especially looking forward to the new court guest. Susanne is equally impressed and greets the excited ungulate with a gentle pat.

The somewhat shy Yannik meets the lively Michelle at the train station. As soon as the tractor drives to the farm, the lady-in-waiting switches into flirting mode. “He’s my beach boy!” reveals the student. When we later inspect the room, Michelle goes one step further: “It's not unrealistic for two people to sleep here!” It still remains to be seen whether horse manager Jenny and her court boy Sweer will soon be in the same mood. At the first brunch in the garden at home, vegetarian delicacies are met with little enthusiasm: “It takes a bit of getting used to,” grumbles the 63-year-old master farmer.

“That was a great reception”

“Farmer is looking for a wife” on stream and TV

The current episode of “Bauer sucht Frau” is now available every Monday at around 8:15 p.m. on RTL+. The episodes are broadcast on RTL's linear TV program always one week later, on Mondays at 8:15 p.m. ntv.de has decided to base its reporting on the availability of the episodes on RTL+.

It is still unclear what will be on the table later for suckler cow owner Marcel. Things probably won't be too vegetarian in Lower Franconia: in addition to keeping suckler cows, Marcel also runs a slaughterhouse. But before we get to work on this, office clerk Jasmin first needs a hearty reception. Waiting for the 30-year-old lady-in-waiting is not only a bright red livestock transport truck, but also a complete brass band. The band is firing on all cylinders and creates a good atmosphere in front of the train station: “That was a great reception!” says Jasmin happily.

Shortly afterwards, the lady-in-waiting is standing in her stylish guesthouse room and can't help but be amazed: “I didn't expect such a modern and great interior,” says Jasmin. Marcel stands next to him, his chest puffing out proudly. In Lower Franconia the sun shines at the beginning of the court week, as it does everywhere where the court guests move into their love quarters.
