“Deadpool & Wolverine” celebrates its German premiere in Berlin. Film villain Emma Corrin steals the show from the two main actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on the red carpet in suspenders.
As if it wasn't already hot enough on this summer day in the capital. But Emma Corrin goes one step further. The British star, who identifies as non-binary and wants to be referred to with the pronouns they/them, appears at the German premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine” in Berlin in a real eye-catcher outfit. Corrin comes in a black mini dress with sewn-on suspenders, which designer Anthony Vacarello designed for Yves Saint Laurent. Hold-up silk stockings and high-heeled peep toes round off the sexy look. Even the hair color matches the overall picture: Corrin, who became known for her portrayal of Princess Diana in the Netflix series “The Crown”, has dyed her short hair black. In the film, in which the superheroes Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) have to team up to fight villains, they is bald.
“Thank you, Berlin,” Corrin writes on Instagram in German and continues in English: “That was the warmest welcome I could imagine – and my first time in Berlin. Thank you to everyone who was there, it was so crazy!”
“Sexiest Men Alive” pretty unsexy
“Did the guys not understand the dress code?” jokes one of Corrin's followers in the comments section. In fact, Reynolds and Jackman, both of whom have already been voted “Sexiest Man Alive” by “People” magazine, look extremely pale and well-behaved next to their co-star in a striped shirt and green sweater respectively. “I'm really disappointed that Ryan and Hugh aren't wearing suspenders in the photo. At least over their pants…” jokes another user.
Corrin's look, on the other hand, leaves many fans so speechless that they can apparently only express their enthusiasm with lots of flame and heart-eye emojis, which can be found in abundance in the comments section.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's rather sporty look at least matched another highlight of their trip to Berlin. The Hollywood stars were in the stadium for the European Championship match between Turkey and the Netherlands and were even allowed to sign the ball.
