Hollywood is mourning the loss of Johnny Wactor. The actor, who starred in the series “General Hospital” and “Criminal Minds,” was shot dead in Los Angeles after apparently witnessing his car being stolen.
Johnny Wactor, known from the US soap opera “General Hospital”, was shot dead in Los Angeles. The actor, who also starred in the supernatural series “Siberia”, was only 37 years old. As his mother told the US portal “TMZ”, he was killed early Saturday morning in downtown Los Angeles.
The actor was driving with a co-worker when they saw three men tampering with Wactor's car. Although authorities have not released his name, it matches the description of an incident in which three suspects allegedly attempted to steal a catalytic converter. The Los Angeles Police Department said officers arrived in the area of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street around 3:25 a.m. Saturday. At the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and have not yet been arrested, police said. The investigation is ongoing. It is said that the actor did not try to defend himself or stop the men, but they shot at him anyway.

In an industry that is full of rollercoasters, and in our many years together, he handled life's ups and downs with optimism and grace. Johnny represented moral greatness in all areas. It is a profound loss for all who worked with him and knew him.”
“General Hospital” paid tribute to Johnny with an Instagram post. “The entire General Hospital family is deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Johnny Wactor. He was truly one of a kind and it was a joy to work with him every day. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”
Johnny Wactor was born on August 31, 1986 in Charleston, South Carolina and made his television debut in 2007 in the drama series “Army Wives”. Until 2009, he played various guest roles in several episodes. In 2013, he then appeared in the supernatural drama “Siberia”, which ran for one season. From 2020 to 2022, he played the role of Brando Corbin in the series “General Hospital”. He appeared in 164 episodes of the long-running ABC soap opera. He has also appeared in many other TV productions, such as “Criminal Minds”.
