Drinking and driving and trespassing: Michael Madsen is no stranger to crime. Now the actor has to be taken into custody again. Apparently an argument with his wife got out of hand.
US actor Michael Madsen has been taken into custody in California on allegations of domestic violence. Investigators were called to Malibu over the weekend because of a family dispute, according to a police statement reported by “Entertainment Weekly”. The wife said she had been forced out of the house by her husband and locked out. Madsen was taken to the police station.
Madsen and his wife DeAnna Madsen had a “difference of opinion,” the actor's spokesperson team said on Monday (local time), according to Variety. They hoped that the couple would settle the dispute amicably. After paying bail of $20,000 (around 18,000 euros), Madsen was released. The couple has been married since 1996.
The actor, who often plays villains, is best known for his collaboration with director Quentin Tarantino. He has appeared in his films “Reservoir Dogs”, “Kill Bill”, “The Hateful Eight” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, among others. He has also had roles in “Thelma & Louise”, “Wyatt Earp: The Life of a Legend”, “By Your Own Rules” and “Die Another Day”.
