A lioness leaves the pride. The entrepreneur Tijen Onaran is leaving the Vox founder show “The Lions’ Den”. The 39-year-old will remain with TV viewers for a while.
Investor Tijen Onaran is turning her back on the start-up show “The Lions’ Den” (DHDL). The “Bild” newspaper first reported. The broadcaster Vox has now confirmed the exit of its “lioness” with a statement: “It is correct that Tijen Onaran has decided to focus her entrepreneurial activities on other projects in the future and is therefore saying goodbye to 'The Lions' Den'. ” We would like to thank her for the past seasons and wish Onaran “good luck and all the best.”
Onaran told the “Bild” newspaper that “The Lions' Den” was a “great entertainment show” that was moving Germany forward, but that its focus was “more and more on the role of providing inspiration for politics and business.” That's why she started her own talk, in which she would like to “get more involved” in 2025. Onaran launched her video podcast “MUT – The Germany Talk with Tijen Onaran” on September 17th. In the two episodes broadcast so far, Green Party leader Ricarda Lang and psychologist Ahmad Mansour had their say.

But it's still a while away from Onaran's final farewell to the “DHDL” universe. The entrepreneur and author will be there in the coming fall season as well as in spring 2025, as Vox explained. The Karlsruhe native has been part of the founder show's investor team since 2023.
A private farewell too
Most recently, Onaran was in the headlines with a private piece of news. At the beginning of September, she announced her separation from her long-time husband, entrepreneur Marco Duller-Onaran, with whom she has been dating since 2013 and married since 2016. In a joint statement, the still-married couple explained that they had to admit “that two people, a couple, have evolved and have outgrown their own marriage.”
