Caravan manufacturers hope for newcomers and e-car drivers

The caravan manufacturers are trying to stop the continued downward trend in the caravans. Real innovations can therefore be found at the Stuttgart leisure fair CMT mainly with small and light pendants, which can also be easily taken on the hooks with electric cars.

The caravan division remains the problem child in the caravaning scene. Beachy 420+ from Hobby has at CMT Premiere

With the idea of ​​Spartan-equipped caravans, which are nevertheless supposed to convey beach feeling with chic and stylish furniture construction, market leader hobby has obviously already hit the nerve of the time with the own brand Beachy introduced in 2021. As a supplement to the previous three floor plans with the 350 (total length 5.09 meters, construction 3.60 meters) as an entry from 14,670 euros, the Beachy 420+ celebrates its premiere in the Stuttgart exhibition halls.

Lord Münsterland Caravan introduces Edero

Almost with the same concept, but less cult potential, LMC (Lord Münsterland Caravan) presents its newcomer to Edero caravan. It should also be simple and affordable, dispensed with firmly installed cooking and cooling devices as well as a bathroom. The smallest model of the three floor plans, which comprises the EDERO 350D (total length of 4.79 meters, assembly 3.78 meters), has a total weight of 750 kilograms and costs from 13,490 euros. A “First Edition” offers the brand from the Erwin Hymer Group with an additional equipment package and price advantage for 14,990 euros.

The direct competitor is the Aviva Lite 300 LH, the smallest and 750 kilograms of lightest caravans from the Adriatic model program. It starts at 14,000 euros.

T@B trailer from Knaus-Tabbert group

A classic in this segment have long been the T@B supporters from the Knaus-Vabbert group, which have been pulled through the country more or less unchanged as large-format teardrop caravans for years. The 5.17 meter long basic model (construction 3.98 meters), which, as with competitors, represents the next more comfortable level above the tent vacation, is offered from 13,670 euros.

At the Knaus-Tabbert brand, the T@B 400 metropolis with kitchen including hob and toilet wave space is also offered at the upper end of the price scale for 25,579 euros.

Already cult: Touring Caravan from Eriba

The Touring Caravan from Eriba, of course, also enjoys cult status, the label of which is the retro design in the two-color outfit. The brand, which belongs to Hymer GmbH, is expanding the series by a 6.46 meter long version with a large bug kitchen and a rear seat group with two opposite longitudinal sofas, which is converted into a lawn meadow for sleeping into a 2.10 x 2.05 meter. A fixed bed is not on board.

New features on larger caravan classes

For the other renowned German caravan manufacturers, the new feature focus is more on the larger caravan classes, whereby there is a lot of fine grinding – if possible with price regulation. Knaus does the prices and reduced prices in the sports series, for example, so that the entry-level model even slides under the 20,000 mark in the basic equipment with 19,200 euros.

At Bürstner, the new edition of the top series Averso (from 29,490 euros) is expanded by Bürstner, so that variants with individual, queens, floors and lifting beds are now available. And with the Premio 510 TK (from 26,870 euros), customers can look forward to a cheap additional package in the skyline edition. Bürstner even generally praises price reductions with up to 12,000 euros for all trade fair offers at Caravan and motorhome.

Finally, Dethleffs, speak full -bodiedly about three “world premieres” at the caravans, but ultimately only revised its series Beduin Scandinavia, Camper and Nomad, especially in the interiors, especially with new living worlds.
