After Lena Meyer-Landrut had to cancel two concerts at the end of June for health reasons, the singer is now back. She needed “a few days' break”.

Shortly before her performance on June 29th at the Tollwood Festival in Munich, a medical emergency occurred. Lena Meyer-Landrut had to cancel the concert at the last minute. Now the singer is back with a health update.

“Slowly getting back on my feet,” the artist posted on her official Instagram account with a photo of her sitting in the sun, wearing sunglasses, a green top and matching cap, and a big smile. “I needed a few days off and some rest. Thank you for your well-wishes and patience,” the 33-year-old said apologetically to her fans.

Severe abdominal and kidney pain

The ESC winner had to disappoint her fans three times recently: After the Tollwood Festival in Munich, Lena Meyer-Landrut also canceled her appearance at the State Garden Show in Wangen im Allgäu the following day. As her team announced, she had to be taken to hospital again with pain. Meyer-Landrut's Instagram story said: “Unfortunately, Lena's condition worsened again during the afternoon and she had to go to hospital again with severe pain.”

Shortly before, the Hanover native explained her condition via Instagram as follows: “Unfortunately, I had to cancel my concert in Munich at short notice yesterday. I wasn't feeling well during the day and then in the evening I got cramp-like stomach and kidney pains, had to vomit shortly before the show started and was then taken to a hospital. Thanks to the paramedics and doctors who helped me so quickly.”

The organizer had already canceled a performance planned for July 1st at the festival week in Hadamar in Hesse on June 24th “for production reasons.” The singer's next performance is currently scheduled to take place on July 19th in Plauen, Saxony.
