After the settlement that rap producer Sean “Diddy” Combs entered into with his ex-girlfriend after allegations of abuse became known, the lawsuits are piling up. Now the third woman has come forward with allegations from the 1990s. The 54-year-old describes this as “invented”.
A third woman has apparently accused rapper and music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs over an alleged sexual assault from around 30 years ago. This is reported by “People” magazine, citing a lawsuit that was filed with the Supreme Court of New York on Thursday. The 54-year-old musician denies all allegations.
Combs’ team told People magazine: “These are fabricated allegations that falsely allege wrongdoing that occurred over 30 years ago.” “This is nothing more than greed for money.” The statement continued: “Mr. Combs’ fame and success makes him an easy target for anonymous accusers who lie for financial gain without conscience or consequences.”
Shortly before, US media had reported that the musician, known under pseudonyms such as Diddy, Puff Daddy or P. Diddy, had to face the allegations of a second woman following the allegations made by his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. She has also reportedly filed a lawsuit against Combs.
Cassie Ventura case ends in court
According to CNN reports, the case involves a lawsuit filed by a woman who accuses him of intentionally drugging and sexually abusing her in January 1991. The woman was a student at Syracuse University in New York at the time and had previously appeared in some of his music videos.
In the statement of claim, the woman makes direct reference to the previous lawsuit filed by Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, which was ultimately settled “amicably” just one day later. It said: “It was the filing of the lawsuit alleging his abuse of Cassie Ventura on November 16, 2023 that forced her to face his attack again.”
Combs and Ventura agreed to an out-of-court settlement just hours after the singer filed a civil lawsuit alleging abuse, rape and assault in New York federal court.
