Ducati has completely redesigned its Panigale V4 street supersports bike. The bike has achieved new record values for power and weight. The Panigale V4 is also the first motorcycle in the world to feature new brake calipers from Brembo, which are said to be lighter and more powerful.
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has presented a new generation of its Panigale V4 street superbike. The 2025 version of the Italian technology icon still has a 1103 cc V4 engine, but it has been updated. The emissions have been improved to Euro 5+, while the power has increased minimally by half a horsepower to 159.8 kW/216 hp at 13,500 rpm.
The maximum torque of 121 Nm is reached at 11,250 rpm. At the same time, Ducati was able to reduce the weight of the superbike by a total of two kilograms; without fuel in the 17-liter tank, the weight is said to be 191 kilograms.
Many components of the Panigale V4 are derived from the MotoGP factory racers. These include the new, lighter front frame and the new swing arm. It has a two-arm design and still allows the silencer to be placed underneath the engine. In combination with the forged rear wheel, the entire rear suspension weighs 2.7 kg less than the previous model. At the same time, better rigidity values are achieved.
New brake calipers from Brembo – the first motorcycle
The new Panigale V4 is the first motorcycle in the world to be equipped with the new “Hypure TM” brake callipers from the manufacturer Brembo; they are said to be 60 grams lighter per pair and at the same time more powerful. All driver assistance systems have been newly applied.
Also new is the command center in the cockpit, in the style of a racing motorcycle. The diagonal is 6.9 inches, the format 8:3. The glass surface uses optical bonding technology for optimal readability. The display now also shows a “g-meter” (lateral and longitudinal acceleration in real time), the lean angle and also the current values for power and torque.
Design inspired by Ducati legend
The design of the new Panigale V4 is based on the legendary Ducati 916. For the first time, aerodynamic elements such as winglets are no longer added to the finished body, but are an integral design element. The new fairing reduces air resistance by four percent and is also designed to better protect the rider.
The new Ducati Panigale is due to arrive at dealers in September; as a Panigale V4 it costs from 27,790 euros, as a V4 S from 34,790 euros. The Panigale V4 R remains unchanged in the range at a price starting at 43,990 euros.
